Thread tension

Incorrect thread tension can lead to thread breakage, likewise in sewing setting the correct tension is very important.

Please follow the instructions to set a new machines tension to default, further adjustments may be made according to the thread you choose to use.

1. Set tension bar at 90 degree position. This is the default position, when adjusting the tension bar please use both hands by holding and turning both sides at the same time. You may release more tension by moving it lower.

2. Rotate all the red dials so that the screw in the middle is flush with the top of the red dial (blue circle). This will be the default position of the thread tension knobs. To put more tension on the thread please rotate the dial clockwise.

3. When rotating the red dials, please make sure the top tension dial is also adjusted simultaneously. Ex. Half turn on bottom dial, would require half turn on top dial too.
